Dr. Bernd Zattler, founded LFS in 1997, and has since then been Managing Director and majority owner of the firm. He is also Chairman of the Supervisory Board of AB Microfinance Bank Nigeria, and Director on the Supervisory Boards of AccessHolding and AccèsBanque Madagascar. Before the foundation of LFS, Mr. Zattler worked for a multinational firm and in institutions engaged in development finance. Dr. Zattler holds a Ph.D. in Economics, and speaks German, English, French and Spanish.
Marcus Hannappel, has been working for LFS since 2007. Mr. Hannappel is Senior Consultant, and since 2010 Senior Banking Consultant at LFS Head Office. Before he was 1 year Chief Credit Officer / Deputy CEO of AB Microfinance Bank Nigeria and 2.5 years Credit Advisor and Branch Manager with this bank and AccèsBanque in Madagascar. Mr. Hannappel has an M.Sc. in Economics, and speaks German, English, French and Spanish.
Dr. Ndidi Nnoli-Edozien : has been with the Federal Ministry of Communication Technology-Member of a team convened by the Honourable Minister of ICT to draft a comprehensive ICT policy for Nigeria. She has worked with and consulted for several Federal Government organizations in Nigeria, Coca-Cola Nigeria, MTN Nigeria, United Nations Development Program, Bertelsmann AG, Germany. She has also done several presentations/Conferences in different countries including the US, UK, Germany, Spain, Nigeria and Italy. Dr. Nnoli-Edozein has a Ph.D and Master Degree. She speaks English, German and French.
Stefan W. Hirche works on regional and global investment funds for KfW Development Bank. Prior, he worked on financial sector development in Sub-Saharan Africa, including branchless banking, deposit protection, structured finance, microfinance and microinsurance. Currently he also holds directorships in an African SME and a microfinance fund. From 2010 to 2013, he managed German policy and strategy on sustainable development finance and the reform of official development assistance statistics, on a secondment to the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. Earlier in his career, he worked in credit risk management and private equity fund management. Mr. Hirche holds an MBA and an M.A. in International Economic Policy, and speaks German, English and French.
Leslie Totte, has been the Chief Financial Officer of Incofin Investment Management (a company with leadership in rural impact investing, a strong presence in microfinance and a pioneering initiative in Fairtrade) since 2011. He is also Board Member of Rural Impulse Fund I and Rural Impulse Fund II. Before this, he was Senior Audit Manager at Ernst & Young Belgium from 1998 to 2011. Mr. Totté holds an M.A. in Applied Economics, and speaks Dutch and English.
William Bonilla is the MD/CEO of AB Microfinance Bank Nigeria responsible for the strategic direction of the bank and day-to day operations. He has an extensive first-hand experience in management of financial institutions in different countries in Latin America and Africa where he has served in different capacities and roles as a member of senior management. William has been in charge of implementing projects aimed to deepening access to financial services in remote rural areas for low-income households in countries like Uganda and Mexico. He has worked in several countries for multinational companies and audit firms in the field of finance, accounting, and audit Mr. Bonilla is a Business Administrator and speaks Spanish, English, and Portuguese.
